By modifying the structure of natural oils, Elevance is able to produce performance waxes and oils that can provide customers the products they need with a reliable, secure supply chain.
- Paraffin wax supply accounts for over 90% of the 10 billion pound wax industry. Yet changes in manufacturing technology are reducing the amount of paraffin available.
- Naturally occurring waxes, such as beeswax, carnauba and montan, are limited in supply or variable in quality and don't provide viable alternatives.
- Traditional soy and palm based waxes lack the robust performance necessary to meet challenging needs.

Derived from natural oils such as palm, soybean and coconut, traditional oleochemicals have long been used by industry as key building blocks and ingredients in personal care, surfactants, cleaners and other household products, polymer processing, oil field processing and other applications. Elevance's technology brings new, exciting developments to these old industry workhorses. Starting from the same natural oils, Elevance can modify their structure to provide new functionality and enable new performance options.
