(January 20, 2010) — Elevance Renewable Sciences announced today that it has hired Steve DiBiase as the company's Chief Scientific Officer. In this role, Steve will lead the development of Elevance's technology roadmap and external technology assessment, research proposals for external funding and will contribute to the development of innovative products. Prior to joining Elevance, Steve served as Chief Scientific Officer for a JohnsonDiversey. In this role, he led the Open Innovation acquisition of the base technology and developed options for increasing cleaning effectiveness of facilities and waste water. Previously, Steve served as the Vice President, Research, Development, and Engineering for Lubrizol, where he provided global technical and scientific leadership for a centralized R&D function with an operating budget of more than $120 million and a team of 700 people.
