Performance waxes and candles represent a very large opportunity in a market undergoing significant supply disruption.

Over 95 percent of the wax used today is paraffin-based, but the supply of paraffin is in decline. Shifts in petroleum refining have lead to the loss of over 2 billion pounds of paraffin capacity in the US and EU since 1996. This creates significant opportunities for vegetable waxes.

With our partner Tetramer Technologies LLC, we have developed a significant technological advantage, producing novel waxes and wax derivatives from metathesis-modified triglycerides, or plant-based oils.

We are currently commercializing renewable plant-based waxes for polishes, adhesives, architectural coatings, and more, avoiding the supply, performance and price issues of paraffin, beeswax, carnuba and other limited performance waxes and additives.
