NIU Student Visit

Earlier this spring, Elevance hosted Chemistry students from Northern Illinois University (NIU) for a day of information and networking. The students took a tour of the facility and spoke with employees about Elevance, its technology and the chemical industry.

NIU Professor Timothy Hagen arranged for the group of 11 undergraduate and graduate chemistry students and members of NIU’s Chem Club and organic chemistry class to visit Elevance.

Steve DiBiase, our Chief Science Officer, hosted a question and answer session and provided a tour of our office and labs. Students were able to meet with a number of our employees, including current Elevance employees who are graduates of the NIU chemistry program: Dr. Kathleen O’Leary Havelka and Amy Dalby (NIU B.S.).

NIU posted a description of their visit is posted on their website: http://www.chembio.niu.edu/chembio/news/archive/2012/elevance_visit.shtml

Dr. Hagan, we look forward to hosting you and your students again.
